1. Installation Precautions
Before installation, verify that the pump’s rotation direction matches system requirements. SQP Series vane pumps have a strictly defined rotation direction (standard: clockwise)—reverse operation is not permitted, as the rotor vane slots are angled, vanes are chamfered, and the port plate metering slots and suction/discharge ports are designed for a specific rotation direction.
Suction piping should be as short as possible, minimizing unnecessary restrictions such as elbows, to ensure the pump does not exceed its permissible Net Positive Suction Head (NPSH) rating during operation.
Suction and discharge lines must have independent supports; the pump housing must not bear piping loads.
2. Pre-Startup Checklist
Before startup, verify shaft rotation direction, connection safety and correctness, fluid type, cleanliness, and fluid level.
Ensure the hydraulic circuit is fully primed to prevent dry running.
3. Fluid Management
