Expert Maintenance Tips
1. Fluid Cleanliness Management
EIPH series internal gear pumps are sensitive to fluid contamination. Recommended fluid cleanliness: ISO 4406 18/16/13 (NAS 1638 Class 9) or higher. Install a suction filter with minimum 100 μm filtration and a return line filter with 10 μm filtration.
2. Fluid Viscosity & Temperature Control
HLP 46 or equivalent hydraulic oil is recommended. Operating viscosity should be maintained within 10–300 mm²/s. Optimal operating temperature: 40–60°C. For cold starts, ensure fluid temperature is above -10°C to prevent cavitation due to excessive viscosity.
3. Suction Conditions
Ensure suction lines are properly sealed to prevent air ingress. Suction vacuum should not exceed 0.3 bar (absolute pressure). Recommended suction line flow velocity: 0.5–1.5 m/s.
4. Alignment During Installation
Ensure concentricity between pump shaft and drive motor shaft does not exceed 0.05 mm, with angular misalignment within 0.5°. Flexible couplings are recommended to compensate for minor misalignment.
5. First Start-Up
Before initial start-up, pre-lubricate the pump by filling clean hydraulic oil through the case drain port. Start with jog operation to verify correct rotation direction (standard EIPH2/EIPH3 configuration is right-hand/clockwise), then gradually load to operating pressure.
