Product Description

Product Overview

The OMER BMTE-315 is a disc-valve low-speed high-torque geroler hydraulic orbit motor with a geometric displacement of 326.3 cm³/rev. Built on the proven BMT platform with an 8/9-tooth roller-stator configuration, this motor delivers high working pressure, superior volumetric efficiency, and excellent efficiency retention over extended service life.

Every BMTE-315 unit undergoes 100% simulated load-condition bench testing before shipment, covering rated pressure, peak pressure, continuous speed, and intermittent speed conditions. This ensures that each motor performs reliably under real-world loading. The BMTE-315 is designed as a direct drop-in replacement for Danfoss OMT 315, Parker TK series, and Eaton/Char-Lynn 2000 series motors with matching specifications — no mounting modifications required.

Key Technical Advantages

1. Disc Valve Distribution with Automatic Wear Compensation

The BMTE-315 employs an advanced disc valve distribution structure with high metering precision. The valve plate and rotor end face feature automatic wear compensation — even after extended operation, the distribution interface maintains tight contact, keeping volumetric efficiency above 90% throughout the service life. Compared to conventional shaft distribution designs, disc valve distribution offers superior leakage control at large displacements.

2. Low Starting Pressure and High Starting Torque

The roller-stator configuration with optimized 8/9-tooth parameters enables a starting pressure below 1.5 bar, allowing the motor to deliver starting torque close to its rated value under low-speed, heavy-load startup conditions. This characteristic is critical for equipment requiring frequent start-stop cycles or loaded starts, such as winches and swing drives, effectively eliminating startup shock and stick-slip behavior.

3. Tapered Roller Bearings for High Radial Load Capacity

The output shaft is supported by tapered roller bearings capable of withstanding significant axial and radial loads, allowing the motor to directly drive working mechanisms without additional bearing housings. The dual-bearing radial load architecture supports over 2000N of radial force, making it ideal for sprocket and gear direct-drive applications with high radial loading.

4. Wide Speed Range with Smooth Operation

The BMTE-315 maintains constant output torque across its 380 rpm continuous speed range, with stable speed-torque characteristics. The disc valve distribution design ensures smooth operation throughout the entire speed spectrum without pronounced low-speed pulsation, suitable for applications demanding precise motion control.

Application Areas

  • Construction Machinery: Excavator swing drives, compact track drives, loader attachment drives

  • Agricultural Equipment: Combine harvester reel drives, tractor implement hydraulic drives

  • Mining Equipment: Mine winches, conveyor tensioning drives, drill rotary heads

  • Marine & Offshore: Deck machinery winches, anchor windlass drives, auxiliary hydraulic propulsion

  • Municipal & Environmental: Street sweeper brush drives, snow removal auger drives

  • Industrial Equipment: Injection molding machine auxiliary drives, machine tool hydraulic clamping, metallurgical roller table drives

Expert Maintenance Tips

Installation Guidelines:

  • Before installation, verify system oil cleanliness reaches NAS Class 9 or better. Install a 10μm filter upstream of the motor inlet. The disc valve distribution structure is more sensitive to oil contamination than shaft-type designs — embedded particles on the distribution face directly reduce volumetric efficiency.

  • Shaft alignment between the motor and driven load must be within 0.05mm to prevent additional eccentric loading on the tapered roller bearings. Use a flexible coupling — rigid connections are not permitted.

  • During initial commissioning, run the motor at no more than 30% of maximum working pressure for at least 1 hour to allow the rotor-stator interface to achieve optimal seating.

Operational Maintenance:

  • Route the external drain line separately back to the reservoir, maintaining case pressure below 11 MPa (rated). Excessive backpressure will damage the shaft seal.

  • Monitor motor case temperature regularly. Normal operating oil temperature should not exceed 80°C. If case temperature rises abnormally, inspect the distribution face for wear or check internal leakage.

  • Inspect motor volumetric efficiency every 2,000 operating hours or every 12 months (whichever comes first). If efficiency drops by more than 10% of the rated value, disassemble and inspect the valve plate and rotor-stator assembly.
