Installation Guidelines

  1. The DG4M4 series can be mounted in any position. Mounting surface flatness must be ≤ 0.05 mm. Tighten mounting bolts diagonally in stages to the specified torque value. The mounting surface conforms to ISO/DIS 4401-02-02 for direct installation on standard subplates or manifolds. For adaptation to size 3 mounting surfaces, an adaptor plate DG4M4 to size 2 (DGAM-2-4-10) is available.

  2. Thoroughly flush all piping circuits before installation. Ensure no welding slag, metal chips, or particulate contaminants remain. Prior to first operation, circulate the system through a 10 μm filter element for a minimum of 30 minutes.

  3. Electrical connections must use connectors conforming to DIN 43650, with optional waterproof connectors (PG) to maintain protection ratings. Control signal cables should be shielded, with the shield grounded at one end.

Routine Maintenance Procedures

  1. Fluid Cleanliness Management: Maintain system fluid cleanliness at ISO 4406 20/18/15 or better. Check fluid particulate contamination every 500 operating hours and replace filter elements and hydraulic fluid when contamination exceeds limits.

  5. Tank Port Back Pressure Management: Tank port back pressure must not exceed 7 MPa (70 bar). If system return back pressure is high, inspect the return line for blockage or undersized piping. Controlling back pressure within allowable limits during system design is recommended to reduce spool binding risk and extend valve service life.
