The DG4V-3/DG5V-8 series solenoid directional control valves (including models DG4V-3-0BL-M-P7-H-7-5H, DG4V-3S-0BL-M-U-B5-60, and DG5V-8-H-2C-M-U-H19) are manufactured to original Eaton Vickers technical standards. The series covers two product families: size 03 (NG6 / CETOP 3 / ISO 4401-03) direct-acting solenoid directional valves and size 08 (NG8 / CETOP 8 / ISO 4401-08) pilot-operated solenoid directional valves. The DG4V-3 series uses wet armature solenoids to directly shift the spool, while the DG5V-8 series employs a pilot-operated two-stage control structure. Both are used for directing and stopping flow at any point in a hydraulic system, providing precise directional control of hydraulic actuators.

The DG4V-3 series is available in two performance levels: the high-performance DG4V-3 with maximum flow of 80 L/min (21 USgpm), and the standard-performance DG4V-3S with maximum flow of 40 L/min (10.5 USgpm), both rated at 350 bar (5075 psi) on ports P/A/B. The DG5V-8 series is a pilot-operated two-stage valve featuring the high-performance DG4V-3-60 pilot valve, with main stage maximum flow of 700 L/min (185 USgpm) at 350 bar (5000 psi). The “H” pilot valve version features a tank port rating of 210 bar (3000 psi), ideal for mobile equipment applications with high return line back pressure.

This product is dimensionally and functionally identical to the original Eaton Vickers valves, offering true drop-in interchangeability for direct replacement of same-specification OEM valves. Every unit undergoes 100% bench testing under simulated working conditions, including rated pressure holding, directional response verification, internal leakage measurement, and solenoid response characterization.

Installation Guidelines

  1. The DG4V-3/DG5V-8 series can be mounted in any position. Mounting surface flatness must be ≤ 0.05 mm. Tighten mounting bolts diagonally in stages to the specified torque value.

  2. Thoroughly flush all piping circuits before installation. Ensure no welding slag, metal chips, or particulate contaminants remain. Prior to first operation, circulate the system through a 10 μm filter element for a minimum of 30 minutes.

  3. Electrical connections must use connectors conforming to ISO 4400 / DIN 43650 to maintain IP65 protection. Control signal cables should be shielded, with the shield grounded at one end.

Routine Maintenance Procedures

  1. Fluid Cleanliness Management: Maintain system fluid cleanliness at ISO 4406 19/17/14 or better. Check fluid particulate contamination every 500 operating hours and replace filter elements and hydraulic fluid when contamination exceeds limits.

  2. Solenoid Electrical Inspection: Periodically inspect the connector for seal integrity and terminal tightness. Measure coil resistance and replace the coil if deviation exceeds ± 10%. Coil insulation is Class H; monitor for abnormal temperature rise.

  5. Pilot Valve Maintenance (DG5V-8 Series) : Periodically inspect the DG4V-3-60 pilot stage for proper operation and stable pilot pressure. Pilot stage tank port back pressure must not exceed 210 bar. If main stage shifting is abnormal, first check the pilot valve filter for blockage.
