Product Description
Product Overview
The EDG-01V-C-PNT13-60 is a classic model in the YUKEN EDG series of electro-hydraulic proportional pilot relief valves. This valve consists of a small DC solenoid combined with a direct-acting relief valve, and can be used as a pilot valve for small-flow hydraulic systems or proportional electro-hydraulic control valves, controlling pressure proportionally to the input current. The valve must be used with a dedicated power amplifier.
The EDG series is typically used as a remote pilot valve for main relief valves (e.g., EBG series) , enabling continuous stepless adjustment of system pressure via amplifier output current—widely applied in injection molding machines and hydraulic presses. The EDG-01V-C-PNT13-60 features V-type remote control purpose, C pressure grade (adjustment range 1.0–15.7 MPa), with built-in safety valve, PNT13 configuration (P-port without fixed orifice, T13 orifice), and 60 design series.

Key Technical Advantages
1. Electro-Hydraulic Proportional Pilot Control — Stepless Pressure Adjustment
The EDG-01V-C-PNT13-60 controls pressure continuously and proportionally to the input current, enabling stepless pressure regulation. As a remote pilot valve for main relief valves, it replaces traditional manual pressure adjustment valves with remote electric pressure control.
2. Built-in Safety Valve — System Overload Protection
The “1” in the model code indicates that this valve is equipped with a built-in safety valve (overload protection) . In the event of abnormally high system pressure due to faults, the safety valve automatically opens to relieve pressure, providing additional protection for downstream equipment.
3. High Precision with Low Hysteresis
With hysteresis ≤3% and repeatability ≤1%, this valve ensures high precision and stability in pressure control.
4. Compact 01 Size Design
The valve features CETOP 03 (NG6) subplate mounting with a compact valve body (weight only 2 kg), suitable for installation in space-constrained hydraulic manifolds.
5. C Pressure Grade — Ideal for Medium-Pressure Precision Control
The C pressure grade offers an adjustment range of 1.0–15.7 MPa (10–160 kgf/cm²) , specifically designed for medium-pressure precision control applications. The EDG series also offers B grade (0.5–6.9 MPa) and H grade (1.2–24.5 MPa) pressure grades, covering complete pressure requirements from low to high.
6. Complete YUKEN Proportional Control System Integration
The EDG series integrates with YUKEN EBG series main relief valves and AMN-W-10 proportional amplifiers to form a complete electro-hydraulic proportional pressure control system.
Application Areas
Injection Molding Machinery — Remote proportional regulation and precise control of system pressure
Hydraulic Presses and Forging Equipment — Stepless adjustment of working pressure
Small Hydraulic Power Units — Pilot pressure control and system pressure regulation
Hydraulic Fixture Systems — Precise proportional control of clamping force
Remote Pilot Valve for EBG Series Main Relief Valves — Building complete electro-hydraulic proportional pressure control systems
Servo Unit Pilot Pressure Control — Providing precise pilot pressure for servo systems
Expert Maintenance Tips
1. Installation Guidelines
EDG-01 is subplate mounting. Mounting surface must conform to CETOP 03 (NG6) standard.
Dedicated subplate DSGM-01-31 must be used.
Use 4 M5 × 45L mounting bolts.
Valve body should be installed horizontally with solenoid facing upward.
Thoroughly clean the mounting surface and all ports before installation to prevent foreign particles from entering the valve.
2. Hydraulic Circuit Connections
P port → Connect to the remote control port of the main relief valve (e.g., EBG series)
T port → Directly return to tank
T return line resistance should be minimized—do not install throttle valves or check valves to prevent back pressure causing unstable pressure regulation or pressure drift
3. Electrical Requirements
A proportional power amplifier is mandatory! PLC direct voltage output cannot drive the solenoid—the current must be amplified by a proportional amplifier.
Standard amplifier models: AMN-W-10, etc..
Input signals: 0–10V / 4–20mA.
Wiring: Proportional solenoid requires DC24V—AC220V is strictly prohibited.
Rated current: 900 mA, coil resistance: 10 Ω.
PNT series connector is DIN standard proportional valve connector—observe correct polarity.
4. Hydraulic Fluid Cleanliness
Recommended cleanliness: NAS Class 8 or better.
The pilot spool has extremely tight clearances and is highly susceptible to sticking—fluid cleanliness is critical.
Use only standard O-rings for sealing—do not apply excessive sealant to prevent contamination from entering the valve.
5. Pressure Setting and Adjustment
C pressure grade adjustment range: 1.0–15.7 MPa (10–160 kgf/cm²) .
The valve features a manual emergency pressure adjustment screw—can be used to temporarily set maximum pressure when de-energized.
Turn clockwise to increase pressure; lock the nut securely after adjustment.
The built-in safety valve (models with code 1) provides system overload protection—factory preset, do not adjust arbitrarily.
Adjust gradually under system operating conditions to achieve the desired pressure value.
6. Periodic Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Inspect the valve body for external oil leakage every 2,000 operating hours or at least annually.
Check terminal connections for looseness, oxidation, or moisture ingress.
If pressure cannot be increased: Check amplifier output, wiring polarity, and T-port return line blockage.
If pressure fluctuation or hunting occurs: First check fluid cleanliness and T return line condition.
