Product Description
Product Overview
The MCY14-1B series is the fixed displacement version of the CY14-1B series axial piston pump, featuring a valve-plate distribution, rotating cylinder barrel design. The drive shaft is splined to the cylinder barrel, rotating seven evenly distributed pistons about the shaft centerline. Each piston has a slipper at its end, held against a swashplate by the central spring via the inner race ball and retainer plate. As the cylinder barrel rotates, the pistons reciprocate to perform suction and pressure strokes. The swashplate in the fixed displacement mechanism is permanently fixed on the fixed displacement end cover and cannot change the piston stroke, so the output flow is constant.
In the model code MCY14-1B, “M” denotes fixed displacement, “CY” denotes cylinder-rotating axial piston pump, “14” is the structural code, and “1B” is the design version. The series covers nominal displacements of 10, 25, 40, 63, and 80 ml/r with a rated pressure of 31.5 MPa and nominal speed of 1500 rpm (1000 rpm for 250 ml/r and above). The slipper-to-swashplate and valve-plate-to-cylinder-barrel interfaces employ hydrostatic balance design, enabling critical running surfaces to operate under pure liquid friction. The pump features simple structure, compact size, high efficiency, long service life, lightweight design, and strong self-priming capability.
The series is widely used in hydraulic transmission systems of machine tools, forging, metallurgy, engineering, and mining machinery, delivering hydraulic oil at 31.5 MPa to generate working power. The pump can also be used as a hydraulic motor by simply replacing the motor valve plate. Every unit undergoes 100% simulated operating condition testing before shipment, covering rated pressure loading, volumetric efficiency verification, and housing sealing integrity. Mounting dimensions are fully consistent with the original pump for true drop-in interchangeability.

Key Technical Advantages
Fixed Displacement Output with Constant Flow: The defining technical feature of the MCY14-1B is its fixed displacement design. The swashplate is fixed on the fixed displacement end cover, the piston stroke remains constant, and pump output flow depends only on drive speed, independent of system pressure. In applications requiring constant flow supply, the fixed displacement pump eliminates complex variable control mechanisms, providing direct and reliable system response while avoiding flow fluctuations during load changes in variable pump systems. It is particularly suitable for industrial equipment requiring stable flow, such as filter presses, pipe crimping machines, and aluminum corner crimping machines.
Hydrostatic Balance Structure Reduces Wear: Both the slipper-to-swashplate and valve-plate-to-cylinder-barrel interfaces employ hydrostatic balance design. High-pressure oil forms hydrostatic films on the slipper underside and valve plate back surface, enabling critical running surfaces to operate under pure liquid friction with minimal mechanical wear. The pump achieves industry-leading volumetric and mechanical efficiency. This design maintains stable performance output during long-term continuous operation at 31.5 MPa.
Spherical Valve Plate Distribution with Automatic Self-Centering: The cylinder barrel and valve plate employ a spherical distribution structure, enabling automatic self-centering during rotation, with low stable speed, low noise, and long service life. The compact pump body has no cylinder barrel swing frame and can withstand radial forces, with flexible mounting position. The central spring presses the cylinder barrel against the valve plate via the outer race, providing initial sealing to ensure immediate seal establishment at startup and prevent dry friction.
CY14-1B Series Platform Drop-In Interchangeability: The MCY14-1B’s mounting flange, shaft extension dimensions, and port layout fully comply with CY14-1B series standards. The CY14-1B series covers displacements from 1.25 to 400 ml/r, with high consistency in mounting interfaces across sizes within the series. No coupling, piping, or mounting base modification is required for replacement — dramatically reducing equipment downtime.
Shared Mounting Dimensions with Variable Pump Platforms: MCY14-1B (fixed displacement), SCY14-1B (manual variable), YCY14-1B (constant horsepower variable), MYCY14-1B (stepped variable), and PCY14-1B (constant horsepower variable) share the same mounting flange and shaft extension standards. During equipment modification or process changes, users can flexibly select fixed or variable configurations under the same mounting interface without replacing piping or couplings, significantly reducing modification costs.

Expert Maintenance Tips
Shaft Alignment and Flange Connection: Concentricity deviation between the pump and drive shaft must be less than 0.05 mm, with angular deviation less than 0.25°. The MCY14-1B uses CY14-1B series standard mounting flange. Tighten flange bolts in diagonal sequence for even loading. Clean preservative grease from the pump housing and tighten all connection bolts before installation.
Initial Start-Up Filling and Bleeding: Pre-fill the pump with clean N46 anti-wear hydraulic oil through the case drain port before installation — startup without pre-filling is strictly prohibited. Start at the lowest drive speed and observe a steady oil flow from the case drain port free of bubbles. The fixed displacement pump produces flow immediately upon startup, and a steady leakage flow from the case drain is normal. Once bleeding is complete, gradually increase to working pressure.
Rotation Direction Verification: The standard configuration is clockwise rotation (viewed from shaft end). For reverse rotation or hydraulic motor applications, special ordering is required. Incorrect drive direction will reverse the suction and pressure sides, causing severe rotating group damage within a short period.
Fluid Temperature and Cleanliness Management: Use N46 anti-wear hydraulic oil. Optimal oil temperature is 30 °C – 55 °C; reservoir oil temperature must not exceed 60 °C. Pipelines must be strictly cleaned before installation — steel pipes require acid pickling and neutralization treatment. New oil must be filtered through an oil purifier when filling the reservoir. Regularly check fluid cleanliness and replace hydraulic oil and filter elements.
Case Drain Line Configuration: The case drain line must return directly to the reservoir with backpressure not exceeding 2 bar. The drain line inner diameter must be sufficient to ensure unobstructed drainage during cold-start high-viscosity conditions.
Hydraulic Motor Application Notes: The MCY14-1B can be used as a hydraulic motor by replacing the motor valve plate. When used as a motor, adjust inlet/outlet port connections accordingly and ensure the case drain line is unobstructed. Speed and torque characteristics under motor operation differ from pump operation — recalculate during selection.
