Belonging to the DFplus® series with size 10 (NG10 / CETOP 05 / NFPA D05), this valve is a high-performance electro-hydraulic proportional directional control valve. Featuring a direct-operated subplate mounting design equipped with the patented VCD® actuator and integrated digital on-board electronics (OBE), the proportional solenoid directly drives the spool for high-accuracy continuous control of position, velocity, and force.

The D3FPE50 series features a spool/sleeve design, with the spool moving in a specially fitted sleeve with micron-level clearance control. The nominal flow rate is 50 L/min (at Δp = 35 bar), with maximum flow capacity of 150 L/min and maximum operating pressure of 350 bar (5075 psi). Maximum tank port pressure is 250 bar with external drain Y-port. Installation Guidelines

  1. The D3FPE50 series can be mounted in any position (mounting position unrestricted). Mounting surface flatness must be ≤ 0.05 mm. Recommended mounting bolt torque is 35 to 40 N·m, tightened diagonally in stages. Avoid spool binding and increased internal leakage caused by uneven mounting surfaces or over-tightening.

  2. Thoroughly flush all piping circuits before installation. Ensure no welding slag, metal chips, or particulate contaminants remain. Prior to first operation, circulate the system through a 10 μm filter element for a minimum of 30 minutes. The valve requires fluid cleanliness of ISO 4406 18/16/13 or better.

  3. Electrical connections must use a 6+PE connector conforming to EN 175201-804 to maintain IP65 protection. Control signal cables should be shielded, with the shield grounded at one end to prevent electromagnetic interference causing spool oscillation.

  4. If using the external drain port (Y-port), ensure the drain line returns independently to the reservoir with back pressure not exceeding 250 bar.

Routine Maintenance Procedures

  1. Fluid Cleanliness Management: Maintain system fluid cleanliness at ISO 4406 18/16/13 or better. Check fluid particulate contamination every 500 operating hours and replace filter elements and hydraulic fluid when contamination exceeds limits.
