The EIPS2-005RD34-111 and EIPS3-020RK23-10, EIPS3-025RK23-10, EIPS3-032RK23-10, EIPS3-040RK23-10 are high-pressure internal gear pumps from the German manufacturer ECKERLE EIPS series.
The EIPS series represents ECKERLE’s next-generation gap-compensated high-pressure internal gear pump, developed on the foundation of over 60 years of internal gear pump manufacturing experience. The series features combined radial and axial pressure compensation along with the patented two-piece crescent seal design, delivering exceptional volumetric efficiency and long-term operational stability. The EIPS series incorporates a 180° suction and pressure port arrangement, offering a compact design ideal for industrial and mobile hydraulic applications with space constraints.
The EIPS2 series covers displacements from 5 to 25 cm³/rev with maximum intermittent pressure up to 400 bar; the EIPS3 series offers larger displacement options with equally excellent pressure capabilities.

Expert Maintenance Tips
1. Fluid Cleanliness Management
EIPS series internal gear pumps are sensitive to fluid contamination. Recommended fluid cleanliness: ISO 4406 18/16/13 (NAS 1638 Class 9) or higher. Install a suction filter with minimum 100 μm filtration and a return line filter with 10 μm filtration.
2. Fluid Viscosity & Temperature Control
Mineral-based hydraulic oils conforming to ISO/DIN standards are recommended. Operating viscosity should be maintained within 10-300 mm²/s. Optimal operating temperature: 40-60°C. For cold starts, ensure fluid temperature is above -10°C to prevent cavitation due to excessive viscosity.
3. Rotation Direction Verification
Always verify the pump rotation direction indicator before start-up (standard EIPS2/EIPS3 configuration is right-hand/clockwise). Start with jog operation to confirm correct rotation, then gradually load to operating pressure.
4. Alignment During Installation
Ensure concentricity between pump shaft and drive motor shaft does not exceed 0.05 mm, with angular misalignment within 0.5°. Flexible couplings are recommended to compensate for minor misalignment. When installing the coupling, avoid applying axial force and never use a hammer.
5. First Start-Up and Bleeding
Before initial start-up, pre-lubricate the pump by filling clean hydraulic oil through the case drain port. After start-up, run the pump in no-load operation for a few seconds to ensure sufficient lubrication. The pump must be bled before building up system pressure. Never allow the pump to run without oil. If the pumped oil still contains bubbles after approximately 20 seconds, investigate the cause.
6. Periodic Maintenance
Replace hydraulic oil and filters every 2,000 operating hours or annually. Regularly monitor pump body temperature (surface temperature should not exceed 80°C) and listen for abnormal noise increases, which may indicate internal wear or cavitation. Provide a cooler if necessary to control fluid temperature.
