Product Description
Product Overview
The H1P series axial piston variable displacement pumps represent the core of the Danfoss (formerly Sauer-Danfoss) hydrostatic transmission platform, featuring the proven cradle swash-plate design specifically developed for closed-circuit hydraulic systems. The series offers 15 displacement options ranging from 45 cm³ to 280 cm³. This product line covers seven popular displacement models — H1P078, H1P089, H1P100, H1P115, H1P130, H1P147, and H1P165 — addressing hydraulic power requirements from small to large mobile equipment.
100% Interchangeability Guarantee: Our pumps strictly adhere to Danfoss H1P original mounting dimensions and port layouts, enabling drop-in replacement without modifications to existing piping or brackets. Every unit undergoes 100% simulated duty-cycle testing under actual load conditions to validate performance parameters before shipment, ensuring immediate reliability upon installation.
Quality & Manufacturing Standards: The housing is manufactured from high-strength cast iron, with critical tribological pairs (cylinder barrel/valve plate, pistons/slippers) precision-ground and heat-treated. Premium-grade bearings from SKF/INA ensure long service life and low-noise operation under high-pressure, high-speed conditions.

Key Technical Advantages
1. Cradle Swash-Plate Design — Smooth and Responsive Control
The H1P series employs the proven cradle swash-plate design, enabling flow direction reversal simply by tilting the swash plate past the zero-displacement position — eliminating the need for additional directional valves. This streamlined design delivers rapid response and superior control precision.
2. High Volumetric and Total Efficiency
Precision-ground cylinder barrel/valve plate tribological pairs and optimized internal leakage control strategies ensure exceptional volumetric and total efficiency across the full working pressure range. Lower internal leakage means reduced heat generation and lower fuel consumption.
3. High Power Density and Compact Design
The H1P series achieves a compact, lightweight construction with optimized overall length. The reduced installation footprint provides greater layout flexibility for equipment manufacturers, particularly in space-constrained mobile machinery.
4. Long-Life Bearings and High-Strength Housing
Critical rotating components utilize high-capacity bearings from leading brands such as SKF and INA, combined with high-strength cast iron housing and precision heat-treated piston/slipper assemblies, ensuring long-term reliability under 480 bar peak pressure and sustained heavy-load conditions.
5. Standardized Interfaces and PLUS+1® Compatibility
The H1P series features standardized connector interfaces with PLUS+1®-compliant control and sensor options. Integrated filtration with bypass sensors enables intelligent condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
Application Areas
The H1P series axial piston variable pumps are widely deployed in closed-circuit hydrostatic drive systems across the following mobile equipment categories:
Skid Steer Loaders — traction drive and implement hydraulics
Trenchers — track drive and chain drive
Asphalt Pavers — traction drive and material conveying
Windrowers — hydrostatic traction drive
Aerial Lifts — traction and lifting drives
Turf Care Equipment — hydrostatic transmission
Vibratory Rollers — traction drive and vibration systems
Cranes and Material Handling Equipment — slewing and traction drives
Forestry and Heavy Construction Machinery — excavators, dump trucks, loaders
Expert Maintenance Tips
1. Installation Orientation Requirements
Pump installation orientation is discretionary; however, it is strongly recommended to mount the control unit (EDC, FNR, NFPE, etc.) on the top or side — with the top position being optimal. If the control must be mounted at the bottom, flushing flow must be provided through port M14. Vertical input shaft installation is acceptable; if the input shaft is at the top, 1 bar case pressure must be maintained during operation.
2. Housing Priming Requirement
Before initial start-up or after extended downtime, the housing must always be filled with hydraulic fluid. Pre-fill through case drain ports (L2/L4) prior to start-up to prevent dry-running damage to critical tribological pairs.
3. Multiple Pump Stack Installation
For multiple pump stack installations, arrange the highest power flow pump closest to the input power source.
4. Charge Pressure and Filtration
Ensure charge pressure meets specifications (refer to model-specific technical information). For units with integrated filtration, inspect filter element condition regularly; bypass sensor-equipped models enable real-time filter status monitoring.
5. Initial Start-Up and Break-In
For first-time operation, run the pump at low speed (idle) with no load for 5–10 minutes to purge air from the system and allow proper oil film establishment on all tribological pairs before gradually applying load.
