Product Overview

The SCEA-LAN is a SUN Hydraulics direct-acting sequence valve with integral reverse-flow check. It supplies flow to a secondary circuit (port 2) once the inlet pressure at port 1 exceeds the valve setting, while allowing free reverse flow from port 2 to port 1. This zero-pilot-flow design requires port 3 (drain) to remain open to maintain a pressure reference in the control chamber. Featuring SUN’s floating construction and exact T-2A cavity/flow-path compatibility, the valve offers 100% drop-in interchangeability and is validated through simulated operating condition testing. The family includes SCEA-LWN (alternative adjustment range), SCGA-LAN and SCIA-LAN (higher flow capacities), and SXCA-LAN (version without reverse-flow check), providing flexible solutions for sequential pressure control and load-holding applications.

Expert Maintenance Tips

Verify that the T-2A cavity is clean and free of burrs before installation. Tighten to the specified 45–50 lbf·ft torque. Port 3 (drain) must remain open and connected to tank—never plug it, as seal weepage can cause malfunction. When adjusting, loosen the locknut, turn the screw clockwise to increase setting, then re-torque the locknut. Remember that pressure at port 3 adds directly (1:1) to the valve setting. Maintain fluid cleanliness at ISO 4406 18/15 or better and inspect seals periodically. Use only recommended seal kits. After initial installation, verify sequencing pressure and reverse free-flow function.
