Product Description
Product Overview
The MCY14-1B and YCY14-1B are the two core product lines within the CY14-1B series of axial piston pumps, representing the fixed displacement and constant power variable displacement control forms respectively. The CY14-1B series employs the classic port plate and rotating cylinder block axial piston pump design, with a nominal pressure of 31.5 MPa, maximum pressure of 35 MPa, and displacement range from 1.25 to 400 ml/r — one of the most widely applied high-pressure piston pump platforms in the domestic hydraulic industry.
Main Control Forms of the CY14-1B Series:
MCY14-1B (Fixed Displacement): The swash plate is fixed on the quantitative end cap, piston stroke is unchangeable, and output flow is constant. Suitable for hydraulic systems requiring constant flow.
YCY14-1B (Constant Power Variable): Employs pressure-compensated variable control, with outlet flow varying approximately along a constant power curve with outlet pressure. Automatically reduces displacement as system pressure rises, achieving power matching and effectively preventing prime mover overload.
SCY14-1B (Manual Variable): Displacement is manually and steplessly adjusted via a manual mechanism changing swash plate inclination angle
PCY14-1B (Constant Pressure Variable): Automatically reduces displacement when system pressure reaches the setpoint, maintaining constant pressure output
Core Structural Features: The drive shaft is spline-connected to the cylinder block, driving the block to rotate, causing seven evenly distributed plungers on the cylinder body to rotate around the centerline of the transmission shaft. Each plunger end has a sliding shoe, and the central spring presses the sliding shoes against the swash plate (inclined at a certain angle to the axis) through the inner sleeve steel ball and return plate. As the cylinder block rotates, the plungers simultaneously reciprocate, completing oil suction and pressure actions.
Key Manufacturing Process: Both the sliding shoes and the port plate employ hydrostatic pressure balance structures (hydrostatic bearing), which not only reduces pump wear but also enables the pump to achieve very high volumetric and mechanical efficiency. The pump can also be used as a hydraulic motor by simply replacing the motor port plate.
Drop-in Replacement Advantage: Manufactured to exact CY14-1B series standards, these pumps achieve complete drop-in interchangeability for mounting flange dimensions (Φ125–Φ280 specifications), shaft dimensions (Φ14–Φ60), port layout, and rotation direction. Every pump undergoes 100% simulated load testing prior to shipment, validating 31.5 MPa pressure loading, volumetric efficiency, and thermal stability under conditions replicating real-world duty cycles.

Key Technical Advantages
1. Hydrostatic Pressure Balance Structure with High Volumetric Efficiency
The core technical advantage of the CY14-1B series lies in the hydrostatic pressure balance structures between the sliding shoes and the variable head, and between the port plate and the cylinder block. Both the sliding shoes and the port plate employ hydrostatic pressure balance design, forming a stable hydrostatic oil film between the friction pairs and converting direct metal-to-metal contact into fluid-film lubrication. This design not only dramatically reduces pump wear but also enables the pump to achieve very high volumetric and mechanical efficiency — volumetric efficiency up to ≥95% and overall efficiency ≥90%.
2. Seven-Piston Structure with Low Pulsation Output
The pump body features a seven-piston uniform distribution design. Compared to five-piston or six-piston structures, the seven-piston design delivers smoother output flow with less pressure pulsation. The plungers reciprocate as the cylinder block rotates, completing oil suction and pressure actions. The central spring presses the cylinder block against the port plate through the outer sleeve, providing initial sealing to ensure good sealing performance immediately upon startup.
3. Rotating Cylinder Block Design — Simple Structure and Strong Self-Priming
The CY14-1B employs a rotating cylinder block axial piston pump design, with the drive shaft spline-connected to the cylinder block to drive rotation. Compared to bent-axis designs, the rotating cylinder block structure is simpler and more compact, with small size and light weight. The series features strong self-priming capability, ability to withstand radial loads, and flexible mounting orientation, making it particularly suitable for space-constrained industrial hydraulic systems.
4. YCY Constant Power Variable Control with Automatic Power Matching
The YCY14-1B employs pressure-compensated variable control, with outlet flow varying approximately along a constant power curve with outlet pressure. As system pressure rises, high-pressure oil from the main body section pushes the variable piston through internal passages, automatically reducing the swash plate inclination angle to decrease pump displacement, achieving automatic matching between hydraulic system power and prime mover output power. When adjusting flow characteristics, first screw the limit screw to the upper end, then according to the required flow and pressure variation range, adjust the spring sleeve so that the initial pressure at which flow begins to change meets requirements, then screw the limit screw until flow no longer changes at final pressure.
5. High-Strength Cast-Iron Housing with Wide Fluid Compatibility
The pump body is precision-cast from high-strength cast iron with precisely ground internal clearances. Working fluid compatibility includes L-HM46 and L-HM68 anti-wear hydraulic oils, with fluid cleanliness required at NAS 1638 Grade 8 or better. The fluid operating temperature range is -20°C to 80°C. The drive shaft is capable of withstanding radial loads with flexible mounting orientation.
6. Pump/Motor Dual-Purpose Function
The CY14-1B series pump can be used as a hydraulic motor by simply replacing the motor port plate. This design provides compatibility for both pump and motor operating conditions, improving system design flexibility and reducing spare parts variety and inventory costs. Both the MCY14-1B fixed displacement pump and the YCY14-1B variable displacement pump can be converted to motor use by replacing the port plate.

Expert Maintenance Tips
1. Hydraulic Fluid Cleanliness
The CY14-1B series port plate and cylinder block mating surfaces, as well as sliding shoe and swash plate mating surfaces, all employ hydrostatic pressure balance structures and are sensitive to fluid contamination. System fluid cleanliness must meet NAS 1638 Grade 8 or better. Recommended fluids are L-HM46 or L-HM68 anti-wear hydraulic oils. Install a 10 μm absolute-rated filter element at the pump inlet. Replace elements at 500 hours after first commissioning, then every 1,000 operating hours or 6 months, whichever comes first.
2. YCY Constant Power Variable Control Adjustment
The variable characteristics of the YCY14-1B are adjusted as follows: first screw the limit screw to the upper end, then according to the required flow and pressure variation range, adjust the spring sleeve so that the initial pressure at which flow begins to change meets requirements, then screw the limit screw until flow no longer changes at final pressure. The intermediate relationship between flow and pressure variation is determined by the pump’s own design. Adjust only with the system at zero load. Rotate the adjustment screw slowly and verify stable pressure gauge readings before proceeding.
3. Pre-Start Priming and Air Bleeding
Before first start, fill the pump housing with clean hydraulic fluid and turn the coupling by hand 3–5 revolutions to expel air from the pump, avoiding dry friction damage to the piston pair. After installation, start at low speed with zero load and run for 5–10 minutes. Verify continuous bubble-free flow from the case drain. Only then apply load.
4. Installation Alignment and Suction Line Requirements
Ensure drive shaft alignment during installation, employing a flexible coupling. The pump suction port must be below the reservoir oil level, and the suction line diameter must not be smaller than the pump suction port diameter to avoid excessive suction resistance causing cavitation. Install a suction filter with a filtration rating of no less than 80 μm in the suction line.
5. Operating Temperature and Speed Control
The CY14-1B series fluid operating temperature range is -20°C to 80°C. Avoid prolonged operation below the minimum speed (500 r/min) or above the maximum speed (2000 r/min) to prevent excessive wear of internal components. Monitor pump noise, vibration, and oil temperature during operation; if abnormal noise, increased vibration, or oil temperature exceeding 80°C occurs, stop the pump immediately for inspection. If the pump is to be stored for an extended period, drain the hydraulic fluid to prevent deterioration and corrosion of internal components; refill and bleed before restarting.
