Product Description
Product Overview
The OMS Series hydraulic motor (available in OMS 80, OMS 100, OMS 125, OMS 160, OMS 200, OMS 250, OMS 315, OMS 400, and OMS 500 displacements) is a high-performance low-speed high-torque orbital motor engineered for medium-to-high pressure industrial applications. Featuring a roller stator gear set with advanced disc valve distribution, this motor delivers reliable performance across a wide range of demanding operating conditions.
The OMS series is 100% interchangeable with Danfoss OMS/OMSW/OMSS, Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 series, and M+S MS series motors — requiring no modification to mounting flanges, port threads, or output shaft dimensions. Every motor undergoes 100% simulated real-world condition testing before shipment, covering rated pressure loading, peak pressure cycling, and continuous operation thermal validation.

Key Technical Advantages
1. Roller Stator Gear Set with Disc Valve Distribution
The precision-machined roller stator gear set combined with a disc valve distribution plate automatically compensates for wear during operation, achieving high volumetric efficiency and extended service life. This design ensures smooth, stable output at low speeds, effectively eliminating stick-slip behavior and providing smooth running across the entire speed range.
2. High-Capacity Bearing System
The output shaft is supported by high-strength bearings capable of accommodating moderate radial and axial loads simultaneously, making the motor particularly suitable for sprocket drives, wheel motor applications, and other scenarios subject to side loading. Bearing design life is matched to the motor’s overall overhaul interval, reducing total cost of ownership.
3. High-Pressure Shaft Seal with Wide Operating Envelope
The high-pressure shaft seal design enables operation without the need for an external drain line, even under high return pressure conditions. The motor maintains stable performance across an operating temperature range of -30°C to +80°C, compatible with mineral hydraulic oils, synthetic fluids, and environmentally friendly biodegradable hydraulic fluids, suitable for both open and closed loop hydraulic systems.
4. 100% Plug-and-Play Interchangeability
Mounting flange bolt patterns, output shaft dimensions, and port thread specifications are fully matched to Danfoss OMS/OMSW/OMSS, Eaton Char-Lynn 2000 series, and M+S MS series motors. Customers can complete drop-in replacement without modifying existing hydraulic piping or mounting brackets.

Expert Maintenance Tips
1. Pre-Installation System Flushing
Prior to installation, flush the hydraulic system piping to achieve a cleanliness level of NAS 9 (ISO 18/15) or better. Install a 10μm nominal filtration rating pressure line filter at the motor inlet to prevent particulate contaminants from entering the disc valve clearance.
2. Initial Start-Up Air Bleeding
After initial installation or motor replacement, loosen the drain port fitting to bleed air from the motor. Operate at no load and no more than 500 rpm for 5-10 minutes until a steady flow of oil is observed at the drain port before applying load.
3. Drain Line Back Pressure Control
The drain port back pressure must not exceed 0.5 MPa (5 bar). Route the drain line separately to the reservoir below oil level. Avoid sharing the return line with the system return to prevent elevated back pressure that could reduce shaft seal life.
4. Fluid Cleanliness and Change Interval
Use anti-wear hydraulic oil with viscosity grade ISO VG 32-68. Replace the filter element after the first 500 hours of operation, then every 2,000 operating hours or annually, whichever comes first. Periodically test fluid contamination levels; if NAS class exceeds 10, change the oil immediately.
5. Long-Term Storage Protection
For storage exceeding 3 months, fill the motor internal cavity with clean hydraulic oil and cap all ports to prevent internal corrosion. Before re-commissioning, manually rotate the output shaft 2-3 turns to confirm free rotation before applying hydraulic power.
