Product Description
Product Overview
The Parker PGP300 Series (covering P315, P330, P350, and P365 frame sizes) is a three-piece cast iron housing high-pressure fixed displacement external gear pump from Parker Hannifin. Featuring high-strength cast iron construction with low-friction journal bearings, this series delivers exceptional durability and contamination resistance. The PGP300 Series offers displacements from 7.6 cm³/rev to 147.5 cm³/rev, with continuous operating pressures up to 241 bar (3,500 psi), peak pressures up to 275 bar (4,000 psi), and maximum speeds of 3,000 rpm.
The PGP300 Series supports single, tandem, and triple pump configurations, with the housing capable of integrating relief valves, load-sensing valves, priority valves, and other control valves. It is widely applied in construction machinery, industrial hydraulics, municipal equipment, and agricultural machinery for heavy-duty applications.
As an original specification within the Parker PGP300 line, this product enables direct form-fit-function interchangeability with original Parker Commercial Intertech units—no modifications to piping or mounting interfaces required. Our replacement solution strictly adheres to Parker technical standards and undergoes 100% simulated in-service testing to ensure performance, reliability, and service life identical to OEM products. It is the ideal choice for hydraulic system maintenance and upgrades in construction machinery and industrial equipment.

Key Technical Advantages
1. Three-Piece High-Strength Cast Iron Housing for Superior Durability
The PGP300 Series features a three-piece cast iron housing with low-friction journal bearings. The cast iron construction delivers outstanding rigidity, impact resistance, and dimensional stability. Heavy-duty outboard bearing design makes it particularly suitable for demanding applications such as refuse equipment and utility line trucks. All models feature 1´´ NPTF rear ports as standard.
2. Wide Displacement Range for Flexible System Adaptation
The PGP300 Series offers four frame sizes with displacements spanning from 7.6 to 147.5 cm³/rev. Supporting single, tandem, and triple pump configurations, the standardized SAE mounting dimensions ensure complete interchangeability with original products, significantly reducing spare parts inventory costs and downtime.
3. High Volumetric Efficiency with Excellent Contamination Resistance
The PGP300 Series delivers volumetric efficiency of ≥94% under standard conditions, reaching up to 98% under optimal conditions. The roller bearing construction provides excellent contamination resistance, maintaining reliable operation under typical industrial fluid cleanliness conditions. The built-in supercharger design further enhances suction capability at high speeds.
4. Flexible Valve Integration with Multiple Pump Configurations
The PGP300 Series housing integrates various control valves including relief valves, load-sensing valves, and priority valves. Supporting single, tandem, and triple pump configurations, the series facilitates system integration and expansion. The pumps feature bidirectional rotation with both side and rear ports for flexible installation and piping.
Application Areas
Construction Equipment: Wheel loaders, excavator auxiliary pumps, bulldozers
Material Handling: Forklift hydraulic systems
Municipal & Sanitation Vehicles: Street cleaners, large refuse vehicles, garbage compactors
Agricultural Machinery: Compact farm equipment, large tractor hydraulic systems
Mining Equipment: Small-scale mining machinery
Industrial Hydraulic Systems: Medium to large industrial hydraulic power units
Specialty Vehicles: Vocational trucks, winches, workover rigs
Expert Maintenance Tips
1. Installation Precautions
The PGP300 Series supports bidirectional rotation—verify the system’s required rotation direction before installation.
Ensure coaxial alignment between the pump and drive shaft; flexible couplings are recommended to avoid radial loads on the pump shaft. Radial shaft load must not exceed 356 kg (785 lb).
The suction line diameter must not be smaller than the pump inlet port; minimum operating speed should not fall below 400 rpm to prevent cavitation.
2. Fluid Management
Use mineral hydraulic oils conforming to ISO/DIN standards, with viscosity range of 50 – 7500 SUS (kinematic 10 – 1300 mm²/s).
System fluid cleanliness must meet Parker-recommended standards, with ISO 4406 19/17/13 or higher recommended.
Prime the pump by filling the housing with hydraulic fluid through the suction port before initial start-up. Never run the pump dry.
3. Start-Up & Commissioning
Use jog start method for initial start-up; verify correct rotation direction before continuous operation.
Allow the pump to run under no-load (low pressure) conditions for 2-3 minutes to purge air and ensure proper lubrication.
Gradually increase to operating pressure while monitoring noise, temperature, and system pressure for normal operation. Volumetric efficiency should remain at or above 94%.
4. Routine Maintenance
The PGP300 gear pump itself is maintenance-free; however, regular maintenance of the entire hydraulic system is essential for trouble-free pump operation.
Inspect system fluid cleanliness and condition every 1,000-2,000 operating hours.
Regularly replace return line filters and suction strainers to prevent contaminant ingress into the pump body.
