The PBBB-LAN is a SUN Hydraulics pilot-operated pressure reducing cartridge valve engineered to deliver a constant reduced pressure at port 1 from a high primary pressure at the inlet (port 2). This enables multi-pressure circuits to operate from a single pump source with exceptional stability, very low hysteresis, and flat pressure-flow characteristics. Featuring SUN’s floating construction, it minimizes the risk of internal binding caused by excessive installation torque or cavity machining variations. Fully interchangeable with original SUN specifications and validated through simulated operating condition testing, the PBBB-LAN ensures drop-in compatibility, consistent performance, and reliable long-term service in demanding high-pressure hydraulic systems.

Expert Maintenance Tips
Verify that the T-163A cavity is clean and free of burrs before installation. Tighten to the specified 20–25 lbf·ft torque only—over-torquing can cause distortion. When adjusting pressure, loosen the locknut, turn the screw slowly clockwise to increase setting, then re-torque the locknut to specification. Note that pressure at port 3 adds directly (1:1) to the valve setting and must not exceed 350 bar. Maintain fluid cleanliness at ISO 4406 18/15 or better and inspect seals periodically. If reverse free flow is required, install a separate check valve in the circuit. Use only recommended seal kits when servicing. After initial installation and a period of operation, re-check the pressure setting and leakage.
