1. Installation Precautions
The PGP 500 Series offers uni-directional and bi-rotational options—verify that the system‘s required rotation direction matches the pump’s identification marking before installation. All three featured models feature clockwise rotation.
Ensure coaxial alignment between the pump and drive shaft. Direct drive with flexible coupling is recommended to avoid radial loads on the pump shaft. Units subject to axial or radial loads must be specified with an outboard bearing.
Inlet absolute pressure should be maintained between 0.8 and 2 bar abs. The suction line diameter must not be smaller than the pump inlet port to prevent cavitation.
2. Fluid Management
Use mineral hydraulic oils conforming to ISO/DIN standards.
System fluid cleanliness must meet Parker-recommended standards, with ISO 4406 19/17/13 or higher recommended.
Operating temperature should be maintained within -15°C to +80°C.
Viscosity should be maintained within 50 – 7500 SUS.
