Expert Maintenance Tips

1. Pre-Installation Preparation: Before using the YUKEN vane pump, read and understand the complete instruction manual. For first commissioning, fill the pump housing with hydraulic fluid through the case drain port—never operate the pump without fluid.

2. Suction Line Design: The inlet line should be short and large in diameter, with inlet filter rating not less than 100 µm and flow capacity ≥ 2× pump rated flow. Strictly prevent air suction and cavitation, ensuring suction port pressure is not lower than -0.16 bar (relative pressure).

3. Suction Port Pressure Requirements: PVR/PVG/PVM series vane pumps have specific suction port pressure requirements. Ensure the suction line is unobstructed to prevent cavitation damage. Recommended suction port vacuum should not exceed 0.16 bar (0.84 bar absolute pressure).

4. Coupling Alignment: Precise alignment between the pump shaft and drive shaft is required with minimal tolerance. After installation, manually rotate the coupling to verify smooth operation. The pump shaft must not bear radial or axial external loads.
