Expert Maintenance Tips

1. Pre-Installation Preparation: Before using the TMK/TMTW/TMVW series motor, read and understand the complete Danfoss technical manual. For first commissioning, fill the motor housing with hydraulic fluid using a filling unit with filtration not less than 10 µm. Never operate the motor without fluid.

2. Drain Line Requirements: Large orbital motors such as the TMVW series must always use a drain line. Shaft seal pressure equals the pressure in the drain line. Ensure the drain line is unobstructed and returns to a separate oil tank to prevent seal damage from excessive housing pressure.

3. Drain Pressure Limits: For TMVW series, monitor maximum oil flow in the drain line when return pressure is below 5–10 bar. TMTW series drain pressure should be maintained within allowable limits.
