Product Description
XPi50 0523770 Hydro Leduc Bent-Axis Fixed Displacement Piston Pump
The XPi50 0523770 is a Hydro Leduc (France) XPi-series bent-axis fixed displacement piston pump built for truck and PTO hydraulics. It delivers 50.3 cc/rev displacement, 380 bar continuous pressure, 420 bar peak pressure (under 5 seconds), and a maximum speed of 2450 rpm. Its 7-piston bent-axis design packs high pressure into a compact housing that bolts straight to a vehicle power take-off (PTO) or transmission flange, feeding cranes, tippers, fire trucks, and snow-control equipment.
The defining engineering feature of the XPi series is self-adjusting rotation. The drive plate and cylinder block are synchronized so the pump reads the PTO direction and sets its own suction and discharge sides. No manual re-plumbing for clockwise or counter-clockwise drive. You connect the suction element to the correct port and the pump adapts.
Our XPi50 0523770 units are interchangeable replacements for the original XP50 / XPi50. Flange pattern, shaft, and ports match the OEM dimensions, so they drop into the existing bracket and lines without modification. Every unit passes 100% simulated operating-condition testing before shipment: run-in, leak check, flow and noise verification at pressures and speeds close to real service.
For durability, the XPi50 uses higher-strength materials, a reinforced double shaft seal with control tube, and an elastomeric Quadring gasket instead of paper seals for better flange contact. The new distributor plate and conical-piston direct drive of the cylinder block cut noise, while hydrostatic piston heads raise lubrication pressure with output pressure to protect the rotating group.
Typical applications
- Loader cranes, forestry cranes, hook-loaders: lift and slew circuits
- Tippers, refuse trucks, salt spreaders: hoist and tipping actuators
- Fire trucks, snow-control equipment: high-cycle mobile hydraulics
- Special vehicles with PTO or transmission-flange mounting and tight envelope space
Installation and service notes (XPi50 0523770)
- Suction condition sets the usable speed ceiling. The 2450 rpm maximum assumes 1 bar suction pressure, a 2″ suction line, and correct suction height. An undersized line or excessive inlet vacuum lowers real speed and invites cavitation.
- Keep oil cleanliness to ISO 4406 19/17/14 or better. Bent-axis piston pumps are sensitive to contamination; dirty oil wears the port plate and pistons fast.
- Fit the suction element to match the actual PTO direction. The pump self-adjusts rotation, but the suction port must be on the correct side for that direction.
- Inspect the shaft seal and suction coupling seal regularly. The reinforced double seal tolerates higher back pressure, but the case drain must stay open.
- If the PTO cannot be disengaged and the pump runs continuously with the prime mover, specify a bypass valve (e.g. BP series) to prevent fluid overheating.
